I shudder to think what might be coming next but am very hopeful it will be a whole lot calmer than what it's been. DH and I are being very cautious in our 'outages' and even though things here are very slowly opening up under strict guidelines I'm choosing to still only go to the grocery store and the bank for a long time to come I think.
Re your hexxie diamond dilemma - what if - could you make more of the darker colored hexxies and insert them into the 'holes' around the edge? That would square it up and also help to balance your concern about wishing you'd arranged the darker diamonds differently? Just a thought!
Magpie's Mumblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09852241848575954128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4082600701720985027.post-53929023753320506222020-06-05T21:34:49.963+01:002020-06-05T21:34:49.963+01:00Oh I had a good early morning chuckle at your bear...Oh I had a good early morning chuckle at your bears......those 'wt..?' startled faces and smug Goldilocks......and piggies with shirts that cover anything important.....love them, you're so creative. How terrific to get to stay home and get paid to " play".
Glad to hear someone else who has the same thoughts about going out and mingling.....not keen either. I'm happy to have the cheery man deliver my shopping, I still walk x2 a day and chat at a distance, but not interested in going to the shopping centre or to get my nails done or eyebrows threaded.....top of a friend's end of iso list! Love your skewed hexies, that's a labour of love there, look forward to seeing it backed and finished. All good here, my life sounds like yours lol .....settlement on 18th, although nothing will change as I can stay until ok to travel. Resident Chef is working on a really difficult puzzle right now and there's a great deal of muttering going on out in the living room. Each piece that's put in place is a triumph. Someone in our building (possibly more than one) often puts puzzles in the laundry room for anyone to pick up and do and that's where we get the ones he works on. Once he's done he recycles it in the same way. I've been working on a queen size for years, taking long breaks often, but now, with staying home, I'm nearing completion on hand quilting. Your projects are beautiful! That hexie is a project I wouldn't attempt - too difficult for me!
I donate to our local rescues as well, but in my case, it's money - not raffle items, although those would be so welcomed!
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. Of course it helps that Resident Chef spends his time in the living room and kitchen and I'm in my sewing room. Virtually the only contact is when he brings me coffee! We still have a lot of idiots out and about, who won't be convinced this is not just a cold, and hard on the frontliner services.
I have plenty to do, like you, enough of a stash and ufos for 3 pandemics.
